The Surgical Phase

ProSmile is proud to provide exceptional service to our valuable patients and each and every one of us work as a team each day to improve our patients’ experience. If you undergo dental implant surgery at our practice, you can rest assured that you will receive care of the highest standard. From the first time you step foot in our state of the art facility, to the day you leave with a brand-new smile, you will be treated with the utmost care and concern.

Dental implant surgery at our practice is systematic, well structured & rigorously planned. Dr. Freimuth and team will walk you through the process, step-by-step to ensure your comfort and understanding. If dental anxiety will keep you from having a positive experience, sedation options, such as oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide, are available to calm your nerves. Sedation dentistry options are designed to reduce your level of consciousness enough so that sensitive gag reflexes, fear of dental tools or needles, and anxiety during dental appointments all become manageable.

Once surgery begins, the goal is to work safely, yet quickly and efficiently, to minimize your time in surgery and maximize your results. The treatment plan that was created during your initial appointment will be followed as closely as possible.

Typically, the time it takes for your implants to properly fuse to your jawbone (a process called osseointegration) is three months. The length of this period is entirely dependent on your individual needs, and will be discussed during your initial consultation. After osseointegration is complete, we will invite you back to our office to place your permanent dental prosthetics. No matter what type of restoration you are receiving, your smile will have been fabricated in our in-office laboratory.
